Meet your hosts.

Christian and Laura Hayes have dedicated their lives to the rural tourism and hospitality industry. Starting Hidden Trails by Horseback in 2010, for 15 years have been offering the unique experience of horse trekking into the Victorian High Country. For their winter off season, they would set off with their young family to The Kimberley, Western Australia, operating “the treks of a life-time” at El Questro Station. At El Questro along with the horse treks, they created so many memorable and bespoke experiences including remote helicopter tours and remote glamping camps for travellers.

Creating life-long memories is our passion and drive in life!”

In 2023 they purchased Stirling Homestead ‘Baringa’, a small 60 acre parcel of land that was once part of Delatite Station. Delatite Station is Mansfield’s oldest and largest sheep station located to the East of Baringa. Over the years, the unique quintessential high country homestead has been passed through local farming families. Today, Baringa has a new lease of life, Christian and Laura have created beautiful spaces and a balance of elegance vs rustic farm house.

Christian and Laura along with their small local team are passionate about Baringa, they are the gardeners, maintenance and the smile your guests will greet when they arrive for your special wedding day or function. They are here to create lasting memories and amazing experiences.
